What did you guys think of the new Batman movie: Batman the Dark Knight. Personally I thought it was really great.

Loved it.Saw it twice.Am going to buy it when it comes out and be a happy child.

I liked it but I'm not going to pay to see it again. I bet that the Joker gets some more serious carnage done in the unrated DVD version, I had the feeling I was cheated out of some blood and guts for the sake of a PG rating.
Although it was good, I don't think it was as good as Batman Begins. I felt that the story suffered from too many characters, and I didn't buy Bateman's mechanically deep voice. I didn't get that Batman was really evolving or going through any life changes (like in the first one). Ledger's performance was good but I wouldn't rate it Oscar worthy.  -------------------- "Pray, forgive my intrusion. I am ... DOOM!"

The reason why Batman did not kill the joker was because he stood for the pure and moral symbol of justice. Had he killed his enemy he would have lowered himself to Joker-standards. I think that is why the was not much guts and blood. I also think that they wanted to show the different sides of what Batman/Bruce Wayne could be, had he not chosen to be the symbol of justice.
I also agree with you on Ledger's performance...to be truthful I think it was only because he died that everyone thought his acting was great. -------------------- I am a Christain person...I believe in Jesus Christ my lord and savior.
